Which image formats can I compress?
The browser must be able to open the image. Common JPEG, PNG, GIF, and WebP files are usually supported; output is WebP or JPEG.
Why is my output file sometimes larger?
Very small or already-optimized images may not shrink further. Try the other output format or reduce the quality setting.
Can JPEG keep a transparent background?
No. JPEG does not support transparency. Transparent areas are filled by the browser when converting to JPEG; choose WebP if you need transparency and your browser supports it.
