Upcoming Albums and Tours we Are Most Excited For

Taylor Swift announced a new album, and so did Depeche Mode. In the coming months, we will have so many concerts and new songs, which means the music scene is returning to what it was before the COVID-19 pandemic. Things go slow, but indeed many significant live events are closer to us.

When we reviewed album announcements and available concert tickets, we got quite excited to get to know that stars like Labyrinth, Meghan Trainor, Carly Rae Jepsen, and even the legends A-Ha come with new albums. Some of them have concerts and tours scheduled.

So, let’s see which are the most anticipated upcoming albums and tours.

Taylor Swift

Taylor’s new album, “Midnights,” is expected to be released on 21 October 2022. Previously, she teased the album by reading the song titles in a viral video.

She is also known for her hints and Easter eggs, so Taylor teased that there will be 13 completely new songs, without previously announced re-recordings of “1989” and “Reputation.”

And we must say we like titles like “Lavender Haze,” “Karma,” and “Anti-Hero”. Also, there is a collaboration with Lana Del Rey, so is there anything more we can ask for?

Depeche Mode

A few months ago, the band faced a huge tragedy. One of the founding members, Andy Fletcher, passed away, and now; David and Martin have taken all the things in their hands. The result is the upcoming album “Memento Mori” and the tour scheduled for 2023. Depeche Mode traditionally promotes their albums on world tours.

The band members held a press conference in Berlin, announcing the album. The name can be translated as “Remember you must die,” and all materials were completed before Fletcher’s passing. His mates decided to continue, dedicating the whole project to him.

The album will probably be released in early spring 2023.

Meghan Trainor

Her songs are addictive, so we are excited about her upcoming album “Takin’ It Back.” She told the audience she is still true to her recognizable style, even though the new songs are more mature now.

Meghan paid a lot of attention to the lyrics, saying she feels more talented in writing after her C-section.

Currently, there is no announcement for live events; but hopefully, we will see her performing as soon as the album comes out.

A-Ha

The legends that gave us “Take on Me” are now back for more. The same day as Taylor Swift, they will release their new album “True North,” featuring 12 new songs.

They have already published videos for some of the songs; including “I’m In” and “You Have What It Takes,” but we also expect some live concerts too.

Simple Minds

Do you know that another legendary band launched a new album the same day as Taylor Swift and A-Ha? The well-known and popular Simple Minds will release their “Direction of the Heart” that day.

It’s their 18th studio album, and now, they are inspired by the celebration of life. Surely, some of these songs will become confidence anthems, which is the main idea behind the album.

For now, there is no tour scheduled, but we all know that Simple Minds enjoy promoting its new materials directly to the audience. So, we can’t wait for them to announce a tour or some live performance soon.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor

In November, we wait for the “Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s Kitchen Disco: Live at The London Palladium” to be released. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, she recorded a cover of “Crying at the Discoteque,” referring to the empty clubs all over the world. Later, she streamed live performances from her home, which culminated with a live concert at the London Palladium.

Some of the featured songs are live versions of “Take Me Home” and “Murder On The Dancefloor,” but also live covers of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” Madonna’s “Like a Prayer,” and “Our House” by Madness.

Gorillaz

The album named “Cracker Island” is expected to be released in February 2023. While Gorillaz has scheduled live events until the end of October, we are sure they will take a break to work on album promotion.

This band is known to tour constantly, so we expect they will return to the concert stage after the album is officially released.

There will be ten new songs with many important collaborations, like “Oil” with Stevie Nicks and “Tormenta” with the famous Latin trap star Bad Bunny.

Other Announced Albums and Tours

While these artists are the ones we are most excited about, we can’t ignore that Cardi B will have a new album later this year, even though the release date is not announced yet. In 2023, Paramore is getting back with a new album, but also the popular Latin star Lucero.

Celebrities who teased new albums in 2023 are Kelly Clarkson, The Killers, Staind, Avenged Sevenfold, and Within Temptation. Release dates are to be announced soon.

Are you excited as we are?
